Specially Appointed Associate Professor, WPI-ICReDD
Profile
Hailong Fan received his B.S. (2011), M.S. (2014), and Ph.D. (2017) degrees from Renmin University of China. He then joined Prof. Jian Ping Gong’s group at Hokkaido University as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2017. From 2020 to 2022, he worked as an assistant professor in WPI-ICReDD at Hokkaido University. In April 2022, he was promoted to associate professor. He received a Polymer Research Encouragement Award from the Society of Polymer Science Japan (SPSJ) in 2021. His current research focuses on the design and synthesis of functional hydrogels with controlled monomer sequences.
