“Gummy Research” Summer School 2026

The Co-Creation Core for Soft Materials Aspiring Research & Translation (C³-SMART) at Hokkaido University is pleased to offer a hands-on summer school for high school students.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience real research conducted at the university through activities such as making gummy materials and measuring their physical properties.

The program also provides an opportunity to interact with faculty members and university students, allowing participants to learn more about research and university life firsthand.

• • Venue: Creative Research Institution, Hokkaido University (Kita 21, Nishi 10, Kita-ku, Sapporo)
  • Eligibility: High school students interested in Hokkaido University and scientific research
  • Capacity: 20 participants (Selection by lottery if applications exceed capacity)
  • Participation Fee: JPY 1,500 (includes lunch and insurance)
